Integration with Vocera nurse badges enables smoother workflows

Indianapolis, IN — Reid Health, an integrated delivery health network based in Richmond, IN and nationally recognized for its quality and technology initiatives, selected Diagnotes for secure clinical communication and collaboration. Diagnotes, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, is a leader in improving clinical workflows through the use of its intuitive communication platform.

“Our clinical and non-clinical staff work around the clock to deliver excellent care for all our patients.  Putting the power of Diagnotes in their hands allows for faster connections and fewer communication delays resulting in smoother workflows and an overall better patient experience,” said Tim Love, director of information services for Reid Health.

To ensure messages are received in real-time, Diagnotes integrated with Vocera lanyard call badges, which are worn by all Reid nurses. A nurse receives an alert on the badge any time a new Diagnotes message is received.

Diagnotes will eventually be deployed to 1,500 Reid employees and partners. Physicians, nurses and staff use Diagnotes to reduce delays in a variety of ways, including:

  •   sending HIPAA-compliant secure text messages to quickly and accurately coordinate patient care;
  •   using their smartphones, tablets or computers to join video discussions to provide virtual care; and
  •   taking and sharing pictures of wounds, EKG strips, x-rays, lab results, and other clinical documents to expedite responses and care.

“We are pleased to serve Reid and are excited by the impact Diagnotes can have on both care quality and cost,” said Dave Wortman, co-founder and chief executive officer of Diagnotes. “Connecting with the right provider can be a frustrating experience for clinicians, patients and support staff. Diagnotes gives Reid the power of a robust clinical care coordination platform to support a broad range of critical workflows.”
